If you enjoy being in community and working together, then we invite you to join us on a Monthly Volunteer Day. Each month we begin with an introduction to Tikkun Farm’s mission and a Barnyard Tour that introduces you to our community of animals. You will meet Max and Pickles, our pot-bellied pigs, feed an alpaca and pet a turkey.
You then can choose a volunteer project that supports our garden, help with a construction task that needs a lot of hands, work inside organizing materials, or process alpaca fiber. It is a great way to learn about our various ongoing volunteer opportunities. We have tasks for all ages and abilities. Families are wonderfully welcome to come work together.
Times
We gather on the First Saturday of the month:
- 9:00am – 9:30am ~ Welcome: Introduction & Farm Tour
- 9:30am – 11:30am ~ Service Projects
- 11:30am – 12:00pm ~ Closing: Appreciation Sharing
We also gather on the Third Saturday of the month for our Multifaith Volunteer Day. We welcome people from all spiritual communities to serve together for the greater good. We begin at 9:30am with a sacred experience in nature, and then work on service projects after that. The schedule is below.”
